Files to ColorDynamics Read the instructions below for transferring files to ColorDynamics, or download a PDF version.
(You'll need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file.)
In order to send files to our ftp site, you need to have an application that supports File Transfer Protocol (ftp). We have found that Fetch Softworks' ftp program, Fetch, works well on the Mac. (Click on the corresponding link to purchase the latest version, or to download version 3.0.3 for free.) Fetch supports Macintosh drop and drag. This makes file transfers as easy as copying files from your computer to ours.
If you are working on a PC, there are several
ftp programs available free online. SmartFTP, FTP Commander,
and WS_FTP LE are the top-rated FTP programs for
the PC.
- You may have to contact your systems manager or your Internet provider to help with your set up.
From the Mac using Fetch, open the new connection window. Type the host name as it appears in the graphic below.
Enter your username and your password. Call your Sales Representative for your password.
Small files such as missing fonts, replacement
pages, and so forth can be emailed to cdprepress@colordynamics.com.
Remember, no matter what you send or how you send it, your files should be compressed to ensure a problem-free file transfer.
Use "Put Files" or "Get Files," according
to your needs.
Notify your ColorDynamics Sales Representative
when you have transferred files to our ftp site.
This will alert our Electronic Prepress Department
to expect your file. |
